My design journey
My philosophy
What I do
I've been passionate about art from a young age, delving into drawing since the age of 10 and even selecting fine art as my high school elective. My experiences and hobbies seemed to point towards a related career path, laying the foundation for what I envisioned in the future. However, my first exposure to UX design occurred during an HCI course I took while studying for my bachelor's degree at UC Berkeley. It immediately ignited my passion, and I found it meaningful to discover that the designs I created could make an impact on the world and provide people with a more convenient life. After graduating in 2021, I decided to pursue my interest in the field by completing a Web Design and UI/UX certificate at UCSC Silicon Valley Extension and applying to a Human Factors and Ergonomic graduate program at San Jose State University, starting in fall 2022.
Berkeley played a crucial role in my growth, showing me the path to my future. I'm excited to bring what I've learned to my new journey at SJSU, anticipating significant growth in knowledge, career opportunities, and mindset.
I'm a firm believer that technology and design can improve people’s quality of life. I enjoy helping people, and with empathy and a people-first mindset, my aim is to make a positive impact by crafting experiences that are accessible and inclusive. Deep within, I harbor a goal – to become a designer who ensures equal access and opportunities for every individual, regardless of age, gender, or status. By prioritizing everyone's needs, particularly those who require support, we can foster balance and equal opportunities for every member of our society, creating a well-functioning system.
